Information we collect
When you create an account, we receive basic account information from Clerk, such as your user ID, email address, name, and profile image. Signed-in likes are connected to your account. If you are signed out, liked project IDs stay in your browser's local storage while the shared project total is stored by Dazzl UI.
If you contact us, we collect the details you submit, including your name, email, project type, and message. We also use privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate visits, referrers, regions, browsers, operating systems, and device types.
Payments
Polar handles premium checkout, subscriptions, taxes, receipts, and payment processing as our merchant of record. We may receive transaction details such as your Polar customer, order, product, subscription and status identifiers, along with amount and currency. Dazzl UI does not receive or store your full card number.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, maintain profiles, record likes, calculate trending projects, respond to messages, provide paid access, manage subscriptions and receipts, prevent abuse, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.
Services that help us operate
We use service providers only where needed to run Dazzl UI: Clerk for authentication, MongoDB for application data, Vercel for hosting and analytics, and Polar for payments and subscription management. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy policies.
Cookies and local storage
Clerk may use cookies or similar browser storage to keep you signed in. Dazzl UI uses local storage to remember anonymous likes. Polar may use necessary checkout technology when you open its payment experience. You can clear browser storage through your browser settings, although doing so may sign you out or remove anonymous likes from that device.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with the providers above, when required by law, to protect Dazzl UI and its users, or as part of a business transfer. We keep account and activity data while needed to provide the service, contact messages while needed to respond and maintain records, and transaction records for legitimate accounting, tax, fraud, and legal purposes.
Your choices and rights
You may update account details through your profile, manage or cancel a subscription through Polar's customer portal, or ask us to access, correct, or delete information we control. Your rights may vary by location. Contact hello@dazzlui.com and we will help.
Security, children, and changes
We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service is completely secure. Dazzl UI is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product changes and will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
